Watering Kentucky Bluegrass

In General Kentucky bluegrass requires about 1 inch per week in April and May, 1 1/4 in June, 1 1/2 in July and August. 1 1/4 in September and 1 inch in October.

Mow Kentucky bluegrass lawns at 2 1/2 to 3 inches and tall fescue lawns 3 to 4 inch range to conserve moisture.

On new grass planting amend soils with compost, manure or leaf mold to improve water holding capacity and infiltration of soils.

Follow these directions and ytou'll make every drop of water count on your lawn.
